Fun During Monsoon Trip To Goa And Malvan

Monsoon vacations have their own charm and Monsoon vacation packages offer vacations

at comparatively lower rates than any other seasonal vacation packages. The major reason being monsoon is not considered as the peak season of tourist sector, whereas monsoon is the offseason.

Last summer we had gone to Goa and Malvan for enjoying monsoon at the beaches of both the places. Among the many available packages, we had opted for the Goa/Malvan package which enabled us to visit exclusive beaches of both destinations. Best destinations for monsoon vacations can be none other than beaches and water falls. I had earlier visited Goa during summer vacations and heard from other visitors that Goa is more charming during monsoons. When I came across the Goa/ Malvan monsoon package, I instantly booked the package for couple which offered taking kids under five without any additional cost. So we were happy to take our four year old Rajni along with us.

It was a complete road journey. The road side from Wadkhal to Goa was lush green and as soon as we entered the Konkan region the road side scenery became more beautiful. The hilly region offers views of green carpets on both sides of the road and the little springs jumping from the heights are the natural treasures visible only during monsoon. We reached Goa late in the evening and we were accommodated in Hotel Graciano cottages near Colva beach. Even though most of our companions were young couples, everybody was trying to get rest after the day long journey.

Next day was more curious for all of us. Everybody was anxious to reach the Colva beach and experience its fun during monsoon showers. When we reached the beach instantly I observed the difference how the beach is hot during the summers and how it offers cool breeze during the monsoon season. All of us had lot of freedom to enjoy the beautiful moments at the beach. Only a few beach shacks were open. Lunch was served by the hotel at the beach itself, so that we can enjoy the fun of eating in an open space. The day was not enough for us to experience the fun at Colva beach. Late evening we returned to the hotel and next day early morning we were taken in a mini bus to Malvan. The journey around 150 Km is pleasant especially during the monsoon season.

Late afternoon we reached Malvan city which offers a typical Konkan city look. From there we were taken to Hotel Sagar Kinara. The location of the hotel was more convenient than other hotels at a far distance. We had our dinner in the hotel with both vegetarian and non vegetarian options available. Majority of us went for the much popular Malvani cuisine Kombdi Vade and were impressed by its taste. In Malvan we enjoyed our time at the Malvan beach and the Tarkarli beach. The sea was roaring like a hungry tiger. We had great fun during the Goa/Malvan monsoon trip, more than what we expected while booking the package. The best part of the Monsoon trips I will say is that you dont have to compromise with your choices, you can be more selective.
