Broaches

Broaches come in two styles, push or pull, they range from round broaches, spline broaches and keyway broaches. What determines how the broaches will look like is the customers machine and other details that he may be looking for? They may be splines or could be involute, parallel and trapezoidal. The broaches may also be Serrations, round, rectangular, hexagonal, and ratchet.

The Gear boxes hobs are other example of gear cutting tools which are normally manufactured in A, B, C classes, they come in different modules and shapes.

The Shank type cutters are designed to cut both the external and internal gears though they suffer from insufficient strength.
