In men, this discharge is released through the penis and may have a foul smelling odor. For women, the odor may also be noticeable and the discharge distinct from normal healthy discharges that are part of a normal routine. Bleeding during sex or itching or general discomfort in the genital area may be other signs that you have been infected with HPV and need to take immediate action to find a method of treatment.

Sometimes there are no symptoms or outbreaks of the genital warts, and in this case you need to be even more alert to genital warts signs. This is because it is possible for the virus to be latent but it still incubates inside you. If you even suspect you have been infected for any reason, you should see a doctor and talk about your thoughts and see what a healthy course of action is for you to take. The doctor may be able to do some tests to see if you are carrying the virus. Then, you will want to make some lifestyle changes to make sure you are as healthy as possible so you can work on overcoming the HPV virus and getting rid of genital warts.
