Near five million people travel to Savannah every year and it is no wonder since it offers a wide selection of parks, landmarks and attractions for the traveler. The best way to see Savannah is by simply walking around the city although there is also the option of taking a boat or trolley tour. A collection of squares encompass a historic district in the downtown area. This historic areas has been well preserved and is currently one of the largest historic districts in the United States. Savannah also offers an excellent selection of mansions and museums to visit during your stay.

Atlanta and Savannah offer a great selection of hotels. In Atlanta the best optin is the Ansely Inn which is a very nice mansion that has been turned into a small scale European style inn. This hotel is an excellent option for those who want first rate accommodations, service and amenities for an affordable price. In Savannah an excellent option is 17 Hundred 90 which is one of the oldest inns in Savannah and is like a house building in eighteenth century New England. Although the inn has been said to be haunted, so if this isn't your type of thing then you may want to look for another hotel. Although for many individuals they won't stay anywhere else when visiting Savannah.

No visit to Georgia is complete without visiting the Chattahoochee National Park at least once. Driving U.S. Route 76 offers one of the best scenic routes in Georgia between Ellijay and Clayton. This route started back in the twenties and thirties when much of the land in this area was purchased by the federal government. As a result today you can experience a part of the southern Appalachian culture.
