Get A Comfortable Nights Sleep Under The Stars
Camping is becoming an increasingly popular holiday option for children
, teenagers and adults alike. Its often a cheaper than traditional holidays and gives you the opportunity to get outdoors. Some people, imagining an uncomfortable nights sleep on the ground in the unpredictable British weather, may be reluctant to join this growing trend. But there are many ways to make youre a couple of nights sleep under the stars more comfortable.
Firstly, make sure you choose the best tent for your needs. If you are going away as a couple, then you may want to purchase a two-man tent, although four-man tents provide more space for your belongings. If you are going away as a group or a family, you may wish to invest in a larger six-man or eight-man tent. These tents are larger, so can be a bit more bulky to transport and to put up, but will allow more space to stretch out at night. Larger tents also often come with separate bedrooms to allow you to sleep in comfort away from the communal living area.
Secondly, you will probably want to give some thought to the sleeping bag that you choose. This will be your bed for the duration of your stay, so it is worth taking some time to think about the best one for you. The main thing to consider is the weather whilst youre camping, as sleeping bags come with different seasons, appropriate for different times of year. 1 Season is a basic sleeping bag designed for use in summer, while 2/3 Seasons are for use in Spring, Summer and Autumn when it is colder. Look out for other features too, such as a shoulder baffle or a mummy shape which will help to keep the heat in for a warm nights sleep.
You wont be able to keep warm unless you have insulation to protect you from the cold ground underneath. So make sure you also take a camping mat or camp bed, which will also give you protection from any rough ground that you might have pitched your tent over. For more luxury, take an airbed with you (but dont forget the inflator!).
You should also bear in might just how much of a light sleeper you are. If you wake at the drop of a hat, take a pair of comfortable earplugs with you. If daylight wakes you, take an eye mask to block out the light in case the walls of your tent arent thick enough. After all youll want a good nights sleep so you can have fun in the morning!
Tents are an essential piece of camping equipment that you cant get by without so invest in one you can use again and again. Just dont forget sleeping bags and other sleeping equipment for a great nights sleep. Shop online now for everything youll need.
