Once in a while I will come across some pretty generic advice on how to get back a girlfriend

, and it will make me shake my head. But, I know that a lot of men will try and use some of these techniques, and then wonder why they just don't seem to be working.

Well, sometimes knowing what NOT to do can actually lead you to the answers pretty quickly, so this article will show you a few techniques on what not to do with her.

Here are a few commonly suggested techniques that are pretty much guaranteed to be duds when it comes to getting her back:

1. Writing a letter to try and "prove" your love for her.

Now, some guys think that they will be able to better express how they feel by writing a letter and then sending it off to their ex girlfriend. I hate to tell ya, but chances are she might not even read it. And if she does, then she is going to be looking at it with a sense of dread. Look, the whole letter thing just does not pan out for most guys, and if you don't want to learn the hard way, don't even bother with this one.

2. Trying to sit her down and talk her into getting back with you.

News flash here, women don't want to be convinced into liking someone or dating them. So, you are going to end up wasting your time, your breath, and your emotional sanity if you try to sit her down and explain to her why she should get back with you. Women love to talk, but they don't want to have discussions where they are being convinced into getting back together.

3. Focusing only on her.

Now, this is one of those suggestions that almost sounds good, but you know what? That's about it. Really, if all your focus is on one women like that... it's too close to being an obsession. No woman wants to have that for real in her life. And also, don't drive yourself of being friendly and flirtatious with other women. It will put you in a much more powerful mindset that will actually make getting her back a LOT easier.
