Get Out Of The Snow And Head For The Sunshine Coast
Well, this time of year most people in the states begin to get sick of the cold weather
and are looking for a place for the entire family to spend some time in the sun. If this sounds like you then you will be happy to learn that it is summer time in Australia and this region is filled with wonderful warm weather activities throughout the next few months.
Envision yourself in January or February lying on the Sunshine Coast of Australia basking in the sun and working on your tan as the children splash around in the waves as they crash along the white sand coast. You can almost hear the surf rolling in if you close your eyes. Picture yourself having your very first scuba lesson or trying your hand at surfing for the very first time.
The Sunshine Coast is a true treasure and a place that is very welcoming for tourists and this time of year especially you will find that the area is buzzing with wonderful experiences to take in. Even if you don't have any experience with water sports there are many tours and lessons available that make for a fun adventure for the entire family.
The Sunshine Coast is about an hour's drive from Brisbane and the drive is worth it for the sights, but you can also choose to fly directly to the Suncoast Airport. The minute you will arrive you will be greeted by sunshine and fun. It also does not have to cost you your life savings. You can stay anywhere from a five-star resort that will treat you like a king or a queen, or you can stay at a budget hotel.. You won't be spending much time inside, so the room shouldn't be a high priority in your visit to the Sunshine Coast.
Obviously it gets dark and the beach can't stay sunlit for 24 hours, so spend some time at the numerous nightlife spots that dot the Sunshine Coast. There are also great amusement parks if the kids are coming along and the golf is great.
