Tickets can be booked well in advance from the IRCTC web portal or across any of the reservation counters at the railway stations and elsewhere.
The different trains that connect the cities of Agra and Jaipur are Marudhar Express No: 14853 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays; Marudhar Express No: 14865 only on Fridays; The Ibadat Express No: 12395 only on Thursdays and the Pratap Express No: 12496 that departs from Agra and reaches Jaipur only on Saturdays.
Road transport is convenient to travel from Jaipur to Agra and the time taken to travel from Agra to Jaipur via road is about 4 hours. The NH 11 connects these two cities and one has to pass through a few cities like Bharatpur, Haelena and Dausa. There are State Transport buses on this route which charge a fare from Rs. 300 to Rs. 400. Private bus operators also run Volvo and deluxe buses on this route. Taxi cabs charge a fare ranging from Rs. 4000 to Rs. 7000 depending on the vehicle the travelers hire. Travel by taxi takes four hours only and is very convenient.
