If you want to successfully get your ex back in your life again you must avoid typical post break-up behaviour. The most damage to any chance of getting your ex back is usually done within the first 72 hours after the separation. The emotionally charged atmosphere of parting lovers often leads to quite dramatic situations.
Do you want to get your ex back? Then try to avoid doing any of the things listed below. Doing them will drastically decrease your chances of winning your ex back despite that it is quite instinctive and natural reaction to the situation you found yourself in.
Avoid name calling and getting physical. Avoid any kind of fighting. Doing these things will almost certainly deprave you of any chance of reconciliation as your ex will be very reluctant to forget and forgive them. Just don't do them!

Don't try to win your ex back by buying gifts or sending flowers. Even if your ex likes and accepts them... on emotional level she/he will know that you are trying to manipulate her/his decision to stay or leave.
Talking to her/his friends or family members to get their support is pointless. They can't make your ex stay with you. The external pressure won't last too long so even if they manage to convince her/him to stay with you, it is going to be short lived. The desire to stay with you must come from your ex.
And finally... don't try to pressure your ex into getting back with you. The more you do it, the more she/he will pull away from you.
