When you take a look at your life right now, what do you see?
When you look in the mirror, is the reflection looking back at you the person you always dreamed you'd be? Or, do you see someone whose set those dreams aside and is just trying to 'survive' life? Someone who has quit believing in the best life has to offer, that's grown comfortable settling for 2nd, 3rd, or 4th best?
Have you finally grown-up; quit believing in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, fairytales, and Making it Big? Because that's what growing up is all about, right? Coming to grips with the harsh realities of life. Eliminating those silly, eccentric, ideals that kept you believing in the impossible!
After all, it's no secret what people think about those walking around talking how someday all their dreams will come true. After a few years of hearing it, it doesn't even sound believable anymore.
It's much more comfortable to simply step in-line with the crowd, eliminate the pressure of trying to be something different, of something more, than everyone else around you.
Maybe it isn't PRACTICAL to believe in having it all?
After all, .how many people actually "have it all"?
Isn't that a clear indication of just how out of reach it is?
And besides who needs the pain of hoping for more in life? Who needs the disappointment of never getting close enough to a dream to touch it? Who needs the mental wear and tear that hoping, believing, and pursuing something, takes on you? Life is tough enough without complicating it with the burden of having BIG DREAMS!
Does that sound right to you?
Does it sound like the first piece of logical advice or information you've read on the Internet?
It can sound right, especially if you've spent any significant time pursuing your dreams, but don't feel any closer to achieving them. It's definitely an exercise of faith to believe in something only you can see, feel, and connect with, but have no outward evidence, or proof, of its existence to show to others.
There is nothing illogical about pondering the idea of giving up. But you have to ask yourself;
"Can you accept the reality of never having, being, or believing, in more than you have, are, or believe in, right this moment?"
Sometimes the answer "yes" comes to mind especially when we are stressed out and don't see a clear way to change things. But that answer never holds for long, the circumstances and situations that surround our lives constantly remind us WE WANT TO BELIEVE, WE NEED TO BELIEVE, IN MORE.
That's because even though we throw our hands up in the air and feel like everything is hopeless, we cannot avoid the nagging desire to succeed. Why? Because it is not US pursuing success that keeps hope alive, it's because SUCCESS IS PURSUING US!
You were born to be successful but separated from it almost from birth. There was nothing maniacal or malicious about the separation, in fact, it was created by those who LOVED you most. A sincere parental instinct to protect and shield you from any perceived harm in life - including failure. You were inundated with misinformation and limitations that distanced you from the success that is rightfully yours, even though it was with the best of intentions.
But despite all the warnings, the stop signs, and the caution signs put up in front of you, instinctively, you feel an inner longing, a yearning, for more, and it never disappears. The success you were born to experience never evaporated, it never went quietly into the night. It has been actively vying for your attention your whole life, and literally, won't let you forget it until you reach your full potential, or die. One of the two.
Even if you find yourself giving up on Success, be advised, success will NEVER give up on you.
