Goal Setting - The Key to Success in Your Internet Marketing Home Business

I came to realize that if I was to be successful in my Internet Marketing Home Business, and just as successful in other areas of my life, I would need to develop a blueprint for myself. The rest of this article is devoted to just that blueprint for success, which I have found to be a great benefit to help me develop and adhere to my professional and personal goals.

Step One You must be specific. The more clearly you define what it is you want to achieve, the more clearly you can define what steps need to be taken to reach your goals. The key here is to develop a sense of personal courage.

Step Two Your goal must be attainable. You must set realistic objectives. If it is only your first or second day then you should expect first or second day results. Don;t invite unnecessary disappointment. If you are truly mentally prepared for whatever is to come you won;t hesitate to begin.

Step Three Keep things relevant. Just stay in your lane. I have to remind myself of this all the time, especially in my business. If it;s not relevant to the task at hand, then it;s usually not needed.

Step Four Measurable You really can;t improve if you don;t know where you have failed in the first place. This allows for accountability. The sign of true self growth stems from searching for our greatness and also our shortcomings. You can always improve on both.

And finally Step Five Time Bound. Why is it that we always at our best when that deadline inches towards us minute by minute, second by second? Now be honest you have done it. We have all done this. We have something important that needs to be done, but for some strange unexplained reason we put this important thing off until the very last moment. And then when we can;t put it off any longer, all of a sudden we get that little fire under our rear end. and then we get going. Is it that human beings do their best work when under pressure?

Of all the steps I have just mentioned, procrastination has always been and still is my greatest enemy. It seems like everyday I wage a battle with myself. But I am making slow and steady progress. And that my friend is the key to overcoming any of your shortcomings. Slow and steady progress.
