Let us see a physical limitation that causes this and a solution to fix this.

Let us begin by analyzing the back swing. If we look at the back swing, the right arm is always elevated and rotated outwards. This is a limitation of many golfers. So we have to improve this physical limitation (i.e. the outward rotation and elevation of the shoulder) to improve you golf swing at the top of the back swing. Now let us learn the exercise that can improve this fault.

All you need is a pair of dumb bells which could start at a range of 3 pounds-8pounds.You will need to deal with heavy weights in this exercise because you are dealing with rotating your calf muscles .If you fail to follow the above conditions, then you might end up giving strain on those muscles.

To start the exercise, you have to get into your golf posture and then slowly raise your elbows until your upper arm is parallel to the ground. Now from this position onwards, rotate backwards and down. Remember to maintain your golf posture as long you continue doing this exercise.

If you are not able to move the dumbbell down that far, then dont worry about it, just slowly try to improve your flexibility further and further until you get to a vertical position.

If you want to achieve satisfactory results, all you need to do is to do these exercise 2-3 sets, for around 15 repetitions a couple of times a week and your swing inability will disappear soon away from you. Give it a try!
