A baseball swing in a lot of ways is just like a golf swing. It's a circular swing around the body. A golf swing involves two distinct phases; the in-swing and the pre-swing. The preparation that transpires ahead of the actual game begins, is called the pre-swing. This may incorporate a pre-shot routine and addressing the ball. The in-swing phase is the procedure of actually swinging the club. The impact, down swing, follow through, change of direction and finish are all ways that you could break the golf swing into smaller elements.

Address position

Good balance is necessary for playing golf, and using a proper stance provides you with good balance. First, stand up to the ball with your ankle joints beneath your shoulders. The weight between the balls of the feet and the heel should be evenly distributed. You want the weight to be directly over your arches of your feet. It should be evenly balanced between both feet.

Posture

Posture plays an essential part in playing a good golf game and here is a little tip on how to maintain proper posture. Push your hips back while tilting forward until the bottom of your sternum points at the golf ball. Be sure that your target shoulder is higher than the trail shoulder as you tilt your spine away from the golf ball.

Grip

The grip is one of the fundamental aspects of a good golf game. Without a correct grip it's almost impossible to play at your best. Your trail hand should be on the shaft immediately above the grip. Use the target hand to place the grip of the club in a diagonal position across the base of the fingers. You want the target hand to fit into the lifeline of the trail hand and you can achieve this by sliding the trail hand down towards the shaft of the club. The thumb pad of the trail hand should cover up the position of the thumb of the target hand. Do not squeeze the club, and make sure to apply only firm pressure.

Alignment body and clubface

Your body should be properly aligned and your clubface properly aimed in relation to the target. Select a spot on the target line that is no more than a few feet in front of the ball and stand at least three feet behind the golf ball. The target line is used in golf to aid the player, it is an imaginary line that connects the ball to the projected target. Once you have selected the spot, walk towards the ball while looking at the spot and place the clubface behind the golf ball facing the target. Take the proper position and set your feet the correct width apart while making sure to keep looking at the target.
