The first thing you need to know about good abdominal exercises is there are not very many of them

. The best abdominal exercise you can do that works more than just one section is the bicycle crunch. What I love about the bicycle crunch is that it works out the upper, lower, and both sides at the same time. The best way to do a bicycle crunch is by doing about 20-50 on both sides slowly and then doing them fast for about 2 minutes, what this does is makes your muscles work much harder and that way you will be able to do more in less time.

Another good abdominal exercise is the twisting plank. Everyone knows what the plank is and the only difference is you stay in the normal plank position for a minute and then twist your legs so that you are working out the section in between your middle abs and your oblique's. What most people don't understand about this is there isn't a muscle there but if you just do this for a week or so you will see the definition that you have always wanted.

One thing you need to keep in mind about doing good abdominal exercises is that they need to be done at least 4 times per week or you won't be getting the full effect. And on top of doing good abdominal exercises you need to also do cardio and eat right, if one of these is not being done you won't see the proper results and your quest to get six pack abs will just take longer.
