Graduate And Move On

My daughter graduated from high school last week

, and go to college in a few months. There will be an important transition for her. It would be a very important transition for me as well.

Sami did very well in high school. I learned. He matured. She made mistakes, and hopefully learned from them. I met people, and I learned to interact with teachers, colleagues and leaders. I learned to be a part of and how to lead teams. I learned a lot about responsibility. It was a good place for it.

So why not move?

Nobody ever sees to remain in high school to post-graduation, because once you graduate, you learn what you need to learn there. How many times did you take the same science or math class? How many times can you write the same article in English? He was in high school an essential starting point, but it's ... The starting point in the journey to another place. Can move sure to be scary, and there may be some tears, but unless you move and take the next step that you and the recession will not continue to learn and grow.

What does this have to do with you?

In addition to celebrating the graduation of Sammy and I spent time training with two of my clients, especially in the last week. The first is the transition from full-time employment of a company is to create, and the other is the transition from work who ran successfully for several years for new businesses that do not have a base, or reputation of running experience.

Each of these women had served the current position. It is literally pay their bills. For most, they love what they do and really good at it, but (and yes, this is a big but) ... These positions are no longer who they are. It's scary, but it is time for them to graduate and move on. The glory of them out of their comfort zones and not to try, but only to assist in the approval.

But what about your business? What about your life? Are there other things that could be time to move?

I invite you to take a moment to look around what you do and ask yourself three questions in order to honestly assess what is happening.

1. What are the opportunities I have in front of me? They are exciting new opportunities for learning and growth? Case or if they saw or was in a contract shortly before the excitement, interest or room for growth and learning?

2. Why my job and life would be like if magically graduate to the next level?

3. If there is one thing that keeps me moving forward, what is it? What one step can I take to be free?

In some cases, as a high school diploma, you have to move on ... You do not have an option, your site no longer exists. But in other cases you have a choice. It's up to you whether you can continue to repeat the class and do the same things over and over again or not. It's up to you to decide you've graduated and take such measures before.
