Your entire body needs to be worked on. Anybody who tries to tell you that you only need to work on specific areas of your body is not worth listening to. To be successful you will need to put together a routine that will work your whole body and all of its systems. You'll need to make sure to do cardio workouts, endurance training and strength training. All of your muscles need to be worked on if you really want to make your body healthy. Working on only a few target regions will only make those areas bigger which will make you feel worse! Don't try to increase the duration or intensity of your workouts every day. If you build up your exercise routine every day your muscles won't ever get stronger. Instead your muscles will only get torn up. This is because your muscles need time to heal and get stronger between vigorous workouts. You need to give your muscles time to heal after they have been worked on. Trade your workouts back and forth. You should do a hard workout one day and an easy workout the next. Doing this will allow you to keep up with your fitness regimen and keep your muscles safe.

Stay hydrated throughout your workout. Gatorade, PowerAde and other electrolyte infused beverages are really good to have on hand when you do a hard workout. At the very least you want to keep a full water bottle nearby so that you can hydrate periodically throughout your exercise routine. If you don't regularly stop to drink your water (or other drinks) you will get dehydrated and you risk seriously damaging your body. Of course not all drinks are created equally. Don't bother with alcohol, sodas or sugary juices. Fitness is a total mind and body state of being. You can go to the gym and exercise every day but if you don't work on improving the health in other areas of your life your fitness level won't improve. To really get fit you need to consume a healthy and nutritious diet and make healthier lifestyle decisions. In addition to this you, obviously, need to establish a regular exercise routine. To truly achieve a high level of fitness work with someone who knows what to do, be practical and practice common sense.
