Qualifications
Staff at Angels Abroad are highly trained and experienced in their fields. Dr. Roberto Mendez, trained in bariatric surgery and gastric bypass surgery for weight loss, has practiced medicine for over a decade and is a Fellow of colon-rectum surgery at Mercy Hospital, Miami, Florida. He is a member of the American Association of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, a member of the School of Doctor and Surgery of Guatemala, and the Medical Association of Peten, Guatemala.
Dr. Adolfo Bonilla brings over two decades as experienced in thoracic and heart surgery, and has a Fellowship of heart surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. Dr. Bonilla specializes in heart valve replacement and heart bypass surgeries.
Dr. James Hazbun has practiced aesthetic dentistry and implants for nearly three decades, and is a member of the Dental Association of Guatemala as well as the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Ennio Marsicovetere specializes in dental endodontics and root canal treatments and is an active member of the American Association of Endodontics, the Dental Society of Guatemala, and a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Endodontics.
