Guide to Vibrators by:Katherine Lynn

Every woman should own a vibrator...

Every woman should own a vibrator...

Vibrators are wonderful for masturbation, vibrators are wonderful during sex. If you have a hard time having an orgasm (as many women do) or if you've never had an orgasm, you really need to own a vibrator. Statistically speaking, one in ten women have NOT had an orgasm!

We often hear men talk about vibrator dependency - hey, guys, wouldn't you rather help your lady to orgasm with a vibrator than have her suffer through not having them at all. Remember that now-infamous fake orgasm scene from the now-old movie When Harry Met Sally? The reason it is so funny is because it is so very true.

Vibrators are not meant to replace men

It's like steak and apple pie. We want both in our lives and should not have to choose between the two. There are plenty of things a vibrator cannot provide. It cannot put its arms around us, hold us close or even take out the trash. By the same token, there are a few things a vibrator can do that a man simply cannot do - at least not without a little help. A vibrator can be your best friend, guys. You won't have to do tongue exercises to keep in shape. It also takes the pressure off the woman to "hurry up" before you get exhausted. It just makes life lots easier all the way around for both of you. And believe me, there will be absolutely no doubt in your mind that your lady has had a REAL orgasm.

So, guys, it may be difficult, but try to put your ego aside and show your woman that you truly understand and care about her pleasure.

Contrary to popular belief, most vibrators are not meant to be used internally...

They will feel good inside, but in order to get off on them, most women need a vibrator on the clitoris. For many women, one of the best sensations in the world is to be penetrated either by a penis, fingers or vibrator on the g-spot and have a vibrator on the clitoris at the same time. The combination may well provide the strongest orgasms of all.

Your first vibrator should be variable speed

And when you first begin to use your vibrator, do NOT take it home, turn it up full blast and hold it up against your clitoris. It is too intense and someone may have to peel you off of the ceiling! Start out slow and work your way up. Your body will tell you what it wants. We recommend playing with your first vibrator by yourself until you become familiar with it. It may be difficult to teach a man to handle your vibrator for you. He simply cannot tell what you need and when. You might try letting him place his hand over yours if you want to feel like it is a joint effort. Better yet, have him use his fingers to find your g-spot.

About Power & Noise ...

Noise and power differ with each vibrator. Usually, the better quality vibrators have the most power and the least noise. Of course, the better quality vibrators are going to cost more. Be aware that most inexpensive vibrators become louder with age and wear and tear. The electric vibrators we sell are among the most quiet of all. These often are the most powerful as well but can actually be too powerful for some women.

IMPORTANT BATTERY

INFORMATION.

Most vibrators are made in the Orient. Many vibrators come with funny looking batteries. THROW THEM AWAY. They are not good quality alkaline batteries and often leak and ruin your vibrator. The reason for this is that it's some sort of export violation in the Orient for them to use our US alkaline batteries in their packaging. This is why we also sell good quality batteries with our toys. Be sure to order them if you don't have them at home already. Also, some vibrators have a piece of paper in the battery compartment that shows you which way to insert your batteries. LEAVE THIS PAPER IN THE VIBRATOR unless it tells you to remove it your vibrator won't work without it! However, some vibrators that use watch type batteries have a round paper on top of the batteries that DOES need to be removed to make it work.

Flying With Vibrators

If you're flying with your vibrator, REMOVE the batteries so it cannot turn on accidentally. Better yet, buy the LELO Iris and you won't have to worry about batteries at all - simply lock it in the OFF position until you reach your destination. Put toys in your checked luggage for privacy. Airline personnel are normally respectful.

Caring for Battery Operated Vibrators

Battery Vibrators offer many advantages: they are inexpensive, portable and often have variable speed control or a variety of vibrating and pulsating sensations. However, the lifespans can be unpredictable, ranging anywhere from a week to several years. Here are a few hints on how to prolong its life:

Do not drop the vibrator. The plastic parts might crack.

Store your batteries outside the vibrator; both the vibrator and the batteries will last longer. By removing the batteries when the vibrator is not in use you will also avoid accidentally leaving the vibrator on low.

Keep all vibrators out of water to prevent corrosion of metal parts (except, of course, for vibrators that are waterproof). Clean non-waterproof vibrators by wiping with a cloth moistened with water and/or our antibacterial toy cleaner that you'll find in the Vibrator section of the store.

If there is a cord between the battery pack and the vibrator, do not tug on the cord. When retrieving the vibrator from the vagina, grasp the vibrator itself with your fingers; do not pull it out like a tampon. Please don't insert this type of vibrator anally. The cord could easily become detached, leaving the vibrator lodged in the rectum. Use only toys with a flared base for anal stimulation.

Thoroughly clean and dry toys after use. Put condoms on toys used by more than one person during sex or on those that go from anus to vagina; put fresh condoms on toys before inserting in the next spot.

Warning: Any battery-operated device generates heat when in operation. If the vibrator does not have access to air it may become hot enough to cause injury. Therefore, please do not lie on the vibrator or battery pack. Always turn the vibrator off and put it away when not in use. Don't fall asleep with your vibrator on.

About the Vibrators We Offer (and those we don't)

Japanese Rabbit Pearl & Hong Kong Imitations

Over the last 20 years in internet sales, the Japanese Rabbit Pearl has been our all time best selling vibrator. This is the vibrator made famous by 'Sex in the City' although it was popular long before the show was ever created. The Rabbit Pearl is the type of vibrator that has a penis shape with beads near the shaft and rabbit ears on the outside for clitoral stimulation. This is also the vibrator that has many cheap imitations (more on this below). In addition to the original Japanese Rabbit Pearl, we also offer the Rabbit Habit (which is the same as the Rabbit Pearl except the controls are on the base) along with the Japanese Velvet. All of these are the good ones from Japan.

These are truly wonderful vibrators - and not just for masturbation. Ladies, men are voyeurs at heart. They LOVE to watch. Give him a show! Recently we had a lady tell us that her husband was so turned on watching her use her new Japanese Rabbit Pearl, that he finally became interested in experimenting with some other areas of interest to her that he previously had refused.

The best way to use the Japanese Rabbit. Bend the shaft GENTLY just above the little beads so it forms a slight angle. We emphasize "GENTLY" as you can easily break it by bending it too much. Turn it on and watch what happens. The rotating shaft is certain to hit your G Spot while the rabbit ears on the outside stimulate the clitoris.

Don't be fooled by imitations! You will often see Hong Kong versions of the same thing. Don't be fooled! The Hong Kong made rabbit vibes often have names such as "Jack Rabbit" or "Wascally Rabbit." While they may look identical, it is NOT nearly the same quality of the more pricey Japanese models. Know what you're getting. The names are all very similar and sometimes the only difference is the packaging. The Japanese packaging is pictured on the right and the package will say Vibratex on it (they are the only importers of these Japanese toys). Japanese vibrators are typically more expensive than the Hong Kong knock offs; however, we've recently been able to lower our prices to bring you the one of the lowest prices in the industry so now's the time to buy one.

The Imitations We Sell Because we realize not everyone wants to invest in Japanese quality, we do sell a couple of imitation vibrators that look nearly identical to the Japanese model. We try to find less expensive substitutions that are still of decent quality in the $30-$60 range. We usually have something similar that we've found to hold up fairly well but don't expect miracles.

The imitations we stock are subject to change though depending on availability.

Best-Selling Pulsatron Kit

For those who want the very best, you'll want to see the Pulsatron. This is a kit that has several attachments that plug into the speed/function controller. It even has a cock ring sleeve into which one of the bullets fits turning the man into a human vibrator. Sleeves are made from super soft silicone. This is the quietest battery vibrator we've seen to date. The motor smoothly transitions as you click through 7 different functions. Also, other toys with a plug in jack will work with the controller unit. And you must see the new Pineapple Ring that works with the egg attachment. If you already own the Pulsatron, the inexpensive Pineapple is a MUST HAVE add-on. Watch our video presentation.
