, El Gouna is a stunning new master development, perfectly located along the shores of the clear blue waters of Egypt's Red Sea. Located just over 20 km North of central Hurghada, El Gouna literally translates as 'The Lagoons,' a name which accurately reflects the intricate network of canals which intertwine throughout the resort.

This stunning new resort has been developed to cater for the most discerning clients, and properties in the development are amongst the most luxurious and expensive on this stretch of the Red Sea coast. Amongst the development, there is a total of 14 luxury hotels, ranging from 3 to 5 stars, although a six star hotel is currently under development is at the superb new Abu Tig Marina.

The resort itself can be divided into three main areas. The downtown area is home to the majority of the shops, bars and restaurants of the resort, whilst the Tamr Henna Square district is where you are likely to find the majority of shows and entertainments on offer in El Gouna. From live music, to traditional Egyptian markets, there's always something on offer at Tamr Henna Square.

The Abu Tig Marina district, is undoubtedly one of the showcase districts of the El Gouna development. Designed by the Italian architect Alfredo Freda, Abu Tig offers a wide range of amenities which are comparable to some of the world's most luxurious marinas. The Abu Tig Marina is home to some of the most luxurious yachts to be moored anywhere on the Red Sea coastline, and to some degree the luxurious and stylish nature of the Marina flows through the rest of the development beyond.

Whilst there has been considerable development throughout the central Hurghada region, development of property in El Gouna is more controlled, and as such demand for real estate in the region is at a premium. Throughout the resort, there is a focus on delivering high quality projects, which combine the highest standards of finishing with exceptional build quality. Architecture varies from the stunning contemporary designs of the Cribs Resort, through to the more traditional architecture of the Ancient Sands Resort.

Similar to the Sahl Hasheesh project, situated to the South of central Hurghada, El Gouna has yet to fully come online in terms of the international tourism industry. As more hotels and companies look to promote their developments in the region, it is likely that the demand for property in El Gouna will rise considerably in the years to come.
