Lets be honest. Most of us know what we like and when we find a good thing we hang on to it. Thats what Toyota customers are doing still. I dont quite understand why the auto industry and the press seem so shocked by their brand loyalty.

Tylenol has had many recalls and even a couple of tragic incidents where their product was poisoned and people died, yet most of us have a bottle in our cabinet and would not hesitate to use it. Toyota had a bad year this year: millions of vehicles recalled and lots of bad press. Yet they stepped up and worked through it, took care of their customers and stayed on top with record sales this spring.

Another survey from Edmunds.com reported that about 58 percent of Toyota owners who traded in their Toyota vehicle in the first quarter of 2010 soon purchased another Toyota.

Naysayers may lay Toyotas recent success at the feet of massive rebates and incentive offers given to customers this spring, but the point remains, Toyota has managed to climb back up from the recall avalanche and customers are right there waiting for them.
