If the printer does not know the default gateway, it can not route IP packets outside of the home local network. Well it is easy to fix, you just need to set the Default Gateway IP address in your Officejet Pro to the address of the Apple wireless-router. You can follow the steps below to fix this.

Now in it select the green Networking tab.
On the left hand side of the networking pane select Wireless (802.11)
Now select the green IPv4 Configuration tab.
Under the Manual IP enter 10.0.1.2 for the Manual IP Address, 255.255.255.0 for the Manual Subnet Mask, and 10.0.1.1 for the Manual Default Gateway.
After the above steps select Manual DNS Server and enter 10.0.1.1 for the Manual Preferred DNS Server.
Lastly select Apply.
