Rainy season is here and it is time to get your colorful umbrellas and raincoats out
. Don't let your spirits dampen. Here are some tips to care of yourself and yet look good in this rainy season.
Oily skin, frizzy hair are common problems that we face in the monsoons. Due to high moisture in the air, the skin is most likely to get oily. Oily skin leads to pimples and infections. Try to wash your face with normal water at least 3-4 times a day. Use a good scrub to keep your face clean. Do not use too much makeup in the monsoons and if at all necessary, make sure that it is water proof. Do not apply too much of liquid on your face, instead use powder based products. You can soak your feet in warm water with some salt to get rid of irritation due to dirt and fungal infection. Try and wear floaters or slippers or ballet flats to let your feet breathe. Colorful slippers are also very much in and are comfortable too. Wear things with sturdy straps so that your feet do not slip out of your footwear because of moisture.
Hair never seem to be in place in monsoons and the frizz just adds to the problems. It is advisable to keep away from chemical treatments like straightening, perming and hair sprays. Mild shampoos should be used but hair should not be washed very often as the humidity may make the hair look limp. Henna is the best to be used in this season. In order to avoid frizz, a leave in conditioner can be used. Try to keep hair as dry as possible. Do not leave your hair open too often. Try tying up a ponytail and funk it up with colorful clips and pins and you are ready to go.
