First one to correctly stick the stickers wins the treasure hunt.

For elementary-aged children, the best way to create a scavenger hunt is to write out clues for them. With this, they will learn to try and understand the directions on their own and their success depends on how they understand the instructions. Have them start off with the first set of instructions and lead them to the next place where theyll find the second instruction. Do this until they are lead to the candy; and the completion of the treasure hunt.

For teens, having a bigger area to operate on will give them the challenge they need. To make things a little harder, they should be assigned their own specific rules. This means that no two teens have the same set of instructions. Make it themed so they can stick to the Halloween theme. For example, have one find clues for a vampire, the other will find one for a mummy and so on. Have neighbors in on the plan so the area is wide.

For adults, the best way to pull off a treasure hunt is to create a maze. Have them go through the maze and prepare different things that will catch them off-guard. To add challenge, make sure that it is timed. This time, the first to the candies is not the winner, the person with the fastest time, or the best scream, or best costume is the winner of the whole treasure hunt. Switch it up so that the adults do not know what to expect.
