(www.GAOTek.com) has released its handheld signal level analyzer specially designed and manufactured to facilitate the installation and testing of CATV systems by CATV field engineers and technicians. Its price has been reduced to US$699.00. The handheld analyzer measures CATV TITL, C/N and trunk cable voltage. It features auto-off time setup, level unit setup, frequency setup, TITL channel setup, channel plan selection, channel edition and channel sorting.
This powerful signal level analyzer, model 8385, tests CATV signal levels in both channel (SCAN) and frequency (SPECTURM) modes. In "SCAN" mode, it scans all channels and records signal levels in internal memory for later analysis. In "SPECTRUM" mode, the analyzer displays spectrum tests within a frequency range of 5MHz to 870MHz. The handheld analyzer stores twenty-four groups of scanned data (up to 100 channels per group) and offers two RF F-Type input ports. The simple operation and light weight design together with a high resolution LCD screen makes it ideal for field use.
