Fats give your body more than twice the amount of calories as compared to carbs or proteins. In order for our body to burn fat quickly we are required to eat a diet that is low in carbohydrates. Just make sure not to do it for too long. A prolonged diet that is high in protein can end up having detrimental health consequences.
I'm about to tell you a simple formula that has worked wonders for me and for all of those that follow it. It sounds counter intuitive but it does work. This is what you are going to do. Eat low carbs for about 10 days. The next day eat a lot of HEALTHY carbs. But please make sure that you pay attention to the HEALTHY part. Make sure you don't start eating junk food! Yes, you can have SOME of those, but you'll do better by eating things made out of whole grains. When you get on your scale the day after, you'll notice that you actually lost even more weight! This is how you are going to burn fat quickly!
Also remember that a good exercise program is crucial. Exercise will make your muscles stronger, leaner and a heck of a lot more efficient at helping your body burn fat quickly!
