I have always been a cheese lover all my life. This is because I grew up eating healthy cheese snacks my mom would make for me everyday right after school. Today, when I think of cheese, sinfully-rich dishes will come to my mind. While it is true that cheese can be high in sodium and fat it also has some powerful nutrients, but like other foods, cheese is good when we take them in moderation.

Cheese and fruits are my favorite combination. One of the superb cheese-fruit combinations is the combination of cheese and grapes. Let me give you two of my favorite healthy diet snack recipes. First is my gooey goodness grilled cheese and tomato sandwich. I am sure you can never resist the richness and creaminess of the grilled cheese and tomato sandwich. Here is what you need. You need 2 slices of multigrain bread, 1 tsp of softened butter, 2 tsp of mustard, 1 oz stilton, gruyere or other cheese for melting and 2 to 4 slices of fresh tomatoes. To make it, you have to put a small skillet over medium heat. Butter one side of sliced multigrain bread and smear mustard on the other side of the sliced bread that has no butter. Then, arrange cheese slices over mustard covered sliced bread, cover cheese with tomato slices and cover with the other sliced bread.
Place the assembled sandwich in the skillet and cover to help the cheese melt. When your multigrain bread is golden on one side just flip the sandwich to the other side, continue cooking uncovered until the other side is golden. You can cut them diagonally into two triangles. You can have your own version of the grilled cheese sandwich and add some ham if you desire and I am sure you will have an awesome healthy diet snack.
My second recipe is grilled cheese and fruit sandwich, since I love cheese and fruit combinations. The ingredients and the procedure are likely the same. You just need to have jam like fig, plum or strawberry. And as an alternative to smearing mustard on one side of the sliced bread, just spread the sliced bread with the jam and follow the same direction.
