Heads Up On Microsoft's Newest Console - The Xbox Kinect

Gaming fans who happen to be closely following Microsoft's "Project Natal" might have heard that it was recently given an official name - Xbox Kinect

. This is a new development from Microsoft that will introduce a whole new level of gaming for all Xbox users. The Kinect uses a 3D camera which recognizes and translates gamer's movements to the game globe. With this console, no longer will we play our games seated on the couch. Gamers will run, jump, duck and swing their whole bodies! Microsoft made this official annoucement at the Kinect's Debut in E3 Los Angeles.

Aside from the official launch of the name, Microsoft is keeping hush on all other particulars such as cost and release date to improve anticipation for its new gadget. What they did tell the public was that the Xbox Kinect is purely a device that will simply plug into an Xbox. This is great news for those people who are already quite happy using the number of games that they have for the old Xbox, and don't really want to buy a whole new console just to be able to try out this new one.

Although Microsoft kept us within the dark about pricing, it's estimated that the Kinect will probably be priced at close to $50 to $200. About 15 games will also be launched together using the Kinect in November.

If you're thinking that the Kinect is going to be just another Wii, then you are dead wrong. The video game industry is really excited about the launch from the Kinect - with different game manufacturers already having numerous games in the works.
