Healthy Bread

There are four basic food groups which make up a decent balanced diet

. One of these food groups is the grain group. This is where you have your breads and anything else which uses grain like bread and pasta. However not all bread is healthy for you. Healthy bread is hard to find in todays market of sugars and bleaches which are put in bread. The sugar helps make the bread ferment and the bleach is what makes white bread look that sheer colour of white.

Whatever it is you are doing in your day to day routine, bread is an important part of the British daily diet. However one needs to be educated in what makes bread a healthy choice. The wrong type of bread can leave ones body gaining weight instead of burning fuel.

See bread is a natural source of physical fuel for our bodies. However it is something which we only need in such moderation because the smallest of pieces can go a long way within us. Bread is where one obtains the easiest source of daily fibre. This has been estimated as being around one third of the daily adult dietary intake. Bread is also where one can gain a daily source of protein which is required for building muscles in our bodies.

Now, all breads have sugar but only healthy bread has low sugar. Another vitamin which can be found in bread is calcium. This is what the human body requires to maintain healthy bones and a brilliant smile. Combined with low sugar these two attributes work well together - but not all loaves of bread have this combination.

Another vitamin found in bread is iron, which helps with our blood and immune system. Not to mention the other vitamins and minerals found in bread such as thiamine, niacin and folic acids. All these are part of the human bodys make up for good, strong bones and an exhaustible supply of energy.

The good thing about bread and baked products is that they are everywhere in our day to day lives. When you eat breakfast, you have toast, when you want lunch you can find bread in a sandwich, and at dinner there is always some sort of grain. You just have to remain educated as to what makes bread a necessity for your regular everyday diet and how to best differentiate the healthy bread from the less-than-healthy.
