It is easy to find what to eat and what is good for the pregnant women but it is
hard to find genuine information what one should not eat during the pregnancy. Many times expectant moms are unaware of these facts and they follow a careless diet and eat unhealthy food. Sometime this Carelessness can cause premature delivery, development issue or in severe case abortion too. Know what is right for your body and baby and make your pregnancy a safe journey.
Fruits and vegetables: Eat natural and stay healthy. Keep your body nutrient balanced during pregnancy eat more and more fresh fruits and green vegetables. The need of nutrient gets double during the pregnancy it is very important to eat at regular interval, dont let your body starve during the gestation period. Eat healthy breakfast, add variety in your food, and make sure you do not miss any important nutrient. Instead of eating for two, eat in a balanced way and reduce the chances of gestational diabetes.
Carbs: the essential element: Do not forget to include starchy food in your diet. They are the source of vitamins and fiber. A food stuff like bread, potatoes, cereals, rice, pasta, oats, sweet potatoes are a good source of healthy carbohydrate. Avoid red meat and processed food.
Protein: Protein is one of the most vital nutrients. Get your daily dose of protein from fish, poultry, eggs, beans, pulse and nuts. Try to include fish in your diet as it is a good source of protein.
Complete your meal with dairy products; A great source of calcium, dairy products like milk, curd, cottage cheese are must for balancing your diet. Choose skimmed dairy products and make your body fit and fine.
Sugar & Fat: Include food that contains balanced amounts of sugar and fat. Many people especially ladies avoid food that contains sugar and fat as it helps in weight gain. Overindulgence of fat or sugar rich food is bad but, your body requires adequate amount of fat and sugar. Avoid unsaturated fat and excessive sweet items along with faulty products. Use honey instead of sugar and get the benefits of sugar with good health.
