Having healthy skin is one of the most basic aspects of beauty and looking your best

if you have problems with acne or other skin problems this can affect your self esteem and cause you to not feel as confident as you would like to. If you suffer from acne there are some techniques that you should know for dealing with it other than taking a lot of medications which can cause a lot of harmful side effects. This article is going to discuss some of these methods.

The first thing is to try and identify why the acne is so bad. One of the ways of doing this is to try and identify all the things that come in contact with your face on a daily basis. Usually these things will have dirt and oils which will clog the pores and cause break outs. One of the most neglected face touching objects is the pillow. Think about it, you spend anywhere from eight or more hours on your pillow every night. Your hair is also on the pillow which means any dirt and oils on your hair is getting on your face. The only real solution to this is changing the pillow cases on a regular basis. Many people do not think that changing them every other night is excessive.

The second thing that might touch your face every day is your bath towel. When you get out of the shower you have probably washed your face with a special soap which is designed to wash away the oils which cause acne. Then when you use your bath towel to dry your body you also rub all the oils form your body onto the towel and then in turn onto your face. This will also cause breakouts. The solution to this is to have a supply of small hand towels which are dedicated to nothing but drying your face. This will prevent spreading oils from the rest of your body.

Third, you need to try and not touch your face. This can often be hard as you may not even realize that you are doing this. Many times you may just put your head down in your hands when sitting in class but if you do you will start to notice that you are more prone to breakouts in the area where your hand rests on your face. Reducing this as much as possible will help immensely.
