Hemroids Symptoms: Are You Suffering From One?

, but the fact is that hemroids are among the most common diseases and as many as 40% of all people who are above 50 years of age have hemroids. You may have had hemroids yourself so mildly that you weren"t even aware of its symptoms, but on the other hand, you may well be suffering much pain and anxiety from hemroids.

Signs and symptoms of Hemroids

Hemroids are the swellings that develop from the cushions of the tissue that form part of the anal canal and as mentioned above your hemroid symptoms can be so meek that you are uninformed of their presence especially if the hemroids are small.

A lot of pain and uneasiness suffered by those with hemroids are because of the piles, which might appear at the opening of the anal passage after having a bowel movement, known as external hemroids. Such piles can resemble lumps in bunches and can even start to bleed and when it does the sufferer can experience severe twinge and pain.

Another unpleasant hemroid symptom is itching. If you have hemroids you will be very tempted to scratch the anal area but make sure that you resist it as the scratching will only make the condition of the hemroid worse.

Another type of hemroids is the internal hemroids that are usually less noticeable because they are present deep inside the rectum and do not usually cause any kind of discomfort. It is the external hemroids that cause the pain, burning and itching. If not taken care of the external hemroids can become more severe and the person suffering from it can cause very severe pain.

The most common causes of hemroids signs and symptoms are constant sitting, sitting on the toilet for long, severe coughing or straining with the bowel movement i.e. constipation. In fact, the patient suffering from diarrhea can cause hemroids.

Hemroids can be a very serious problem which may lead to operation if ignored. If you are suffering from any of the above mentioned symptom, make sure to consult your doctor as soon as possible!
