Hen Ark Plans – Git R Done

Hen Ark Plans Git R Done
When I m asked about hen ark plans I think about my Grand dad who was a no nonsense kind of guy. Thinking of him reminds me of one of my favorite comedians Larry the Cable Guy and his favorite saying of "Git-R-Done!" That was my Grandad, he jumped into things head first sometimes without a good plan. I learned a whole lot from my Granddad a lot of good and some things I was blessed to see his mistakes and learn from them. One of the lessons I like to think I learned was, from a great quote I like to think of from time to time by Fitzhugh Dodson "Without goals, and plans to reach them, you are like a ship that has set sail with no destination."
With the direction of wisdom and experience I would like to share my insight.First of all I would like to explain to the novice chicken rancher what a hen ark is. It is usually is an A framed chicken coop of a smaller size and design. It is generally a moveable light weight coop covered with chicken wire and has portable water and feed containers for your chickens or pullets. I would also like to share the explanation of a pullet. A pullet is a young hen under a year old usually intended for frying. I wanted to clear that up for the newer chicken ranchers.
If you are looking into hen ark plans for your chickens and you plan on using it for more than a few chickens you can still use the design to Git-R-Done. There are designs you can find online. The general rule is that the smaller hen ark plans cover the small arks to be light enough that you can move them by yourself or with another person to help you, but you don't any equipment to move it.
The larger hen ark plans that would be used for a bigger flock of chickens are constructed with more lumber and hardware and has sled like rails on the bottom of the ark to allow for a piece of equipment to push or pull the ark to a new location. Some of the plans allow for wheels at the base of the hen ark. The larger hen arks are generally found on a farm where there is enough room for the use of the equipment needed for the transportation and movability.
You can see that jumping into building without hen ark plans or knowing what your intentions are for the amount of chickens in your flock, can have a direct influence for the size you will needed to build for your chickens to have enough room to roam, and roost. I think a good plan is invaluable to your success, so gather your thoughts know your needs and have a great time in your chicken ranching.
