High Speed Label Applicator - Solving The Issues
The thought of how the package in your hand became a package usually slips your mind
, right? I"m assuming you don"t look at your bread and think any thought except possibly, "Did she put my cans on top of my bread?!" however, packaging the bread the cashier just crushed was harder than you can imagine. Labeling that bread or the box of crackers you bought was relatively easy; the hard part was not damaging the box or bread, if you find yourself in need of a machine to handle that, a high speed pressure sensitive label applicator might be your best option.
Rolls and crackers aren"t the most difficult problem encountered however. Today"s products vary so extremely different in size shape and texture that it"s nearly impossible to create a process for them all. And most of the companies out there simply can"t hold one labeling machine per product. That"s where high speed labeling applicators can work wonders. These types of machines can really create almost unique processes for each product you have by editing the settings to fit your needs.
Sometimes adjustments can be made on the labeler itself. Most machines, for example, can be quickly adjusted to accept products of a different orientation. Other times, machine labelers serve as an addition or adjustment to another packaging machine. A flexible package labeler, for example, adheres to the packaging machine and attaches a label while the packaging is being formed, improving placement accuracy while eliminating wrinkles and bubbles.
Box and carton labeling is not as simple as you would think. It seems like flat sides would be easy to work with, but that"s not the case. There are so many variables that it"s just as difficult to package hard flat surfaces as it is to label soft flexible packages. So many products have so many types of packages with multiple sizes and shapes, this makes one standard machine hard to create. But some companies make their products easily editable to fit each person"s needs. They can also make the labeling machine to fit the assembly line you need a machine for.
Thanks to great advancements in labeling machines, companies can embed an RFID transponder into the products. These can track the products from the factory to when they are in your cart. They can also provide vital information about where the products were created and they are needed to be used by.
When planning to rent, lease or buy a label applicator, look for companies that have been certified by the Packaging Machine Manufacturers Institute. In many cases, the companies will provide onsite training to help you integrate the labeling machine into your current assembly line and use it safely and effectively.
