When we book our holidays, we rarely think about the driving policies of the countries that we are travelling to. With important things to do like booking Car Insurance and flights, this one often slips our minds.

But it really is something important to consider. England is fairly safe to drive, but in other countries, where we are less sure of the rules of the road, it can be a lot harder. Take America for example. There are rules there that we don't have her, which can often be confusing. For example, you can overtake in any lane, and you can often do U turns at intersections, something that would be considered illegal in great Britain. Another oddity is that you can often turn on a red light if you are going right.

This can be confusing enough even when the rules are the same, but with other factors to consider, this can be very dangerous.
