This is because; the movies are unseen until they enter the Cannes and debut at the respected French fest. Talking about the Cannes Film Festival, only the best movies enter the prestigious French fest. Cannes is considered to be a fancy place for film festivals where all the Hollywood bigwigs get an opportunity to showcase their acting skills or fashion quotient. At Cannes, film producers submit their movies with big stars, big names and big stories in the hope that they win the competition and walk away with the most prestigious award.

"Rust and Bone, Holy Motors, Cosmopolis, Reality, In Another Country, The Taste Of Money, The Angels Share, You Aint Seen Nothin Yet, On The Road, Paradise Love, Beyond The Hills, The Hunt and In The Fog, are some of the movies that entered the Cannes Festival which took place in 2012. Some of the Hollywood movies that were selected for the French fest at Cannes include Moonrise Kingdome, The Paperboy, Killing Them Softly, Lawless and Mud. Another Hollywood movie, The Central Park Five was screened as a part of special screening section. The Chair was one of the movies selected from 4,500 entries, as a part of short film competition section.
