The power cuts are awful nowadays
The power cuts are awful nowadays. The power fluctuations are terrible and annoying.
Why is it so? Is the power generation a problem or distribution system not functioning properly??
We have thermal, hydro, nuclear and non-conventional energy like solar etc.
We are more than 110 crores and will be more everyday. Everyone needs electricity for their multi-utility requirements.
But we dont think of power generation. Whether there is sufficient source or are we exploiting the already depleted nature, is something we dont want to even think.
Same is the case of our life. We look for supply of power to grow and sustain in our lives. We go beyond and wish to have more and more power.
Power in terms of money, property, people, position, ownership, governance etc. we are not satisfied. Not just satisfied with what is enough for us. So, we get into trouble by encroaching others wealth. Why wealth, even into their simple belongings.
We are blessed with our quotas of wealth which includes our health, based on our actions and reactions-to-our-actions since time immemorial. Without realizing that, we keep lording over the material nature. This is the simple cause of all our sufferings.
Some wish to go to the roots of the cause and understand what or who the cause of all causes is. They are spiritualists. They detach themselves from the physical aspects of living which is temporary in nature and which is subject to decay, one day or other. Instead they wish to pursue something that is permanent and not just pleasure but bliss. For them the worldly miseries will not affect. They will keep smiling at the so called pain and gently pass thro this life. Vedic Folks will attempt to explore their ways of remedy to the baffling life issues.
But Vedic Folks also wishes to help the troubled ones in setting right the life systems by offering options which are also vedic in origin but quick, modular remedies. Let me quote from Bhagavat Gita:
Krishna says in Chapter 3, sloka 10, In the beginning of creation, the Lord of all creatures sent forth generations of men and demigods, along with sacrifices for Vishnu, and blessed them by saying, Be thou happy by this yaja[sacrifice] because its performance will bestow upon you everything desirable for living happily and achieving liberation.
The Lord created this material world to enable us to learn how to perform yajas (sacrifices) for the satisfaction of Vishnu, so that while in this world we can live very comfortably without anxiety and after finishing the present material body we can enter into the kingdom of God.
The demigods are empowered administrators of material affairs. The supply of air, light, water and all other benedictions for maintaining our body and soul is entrusted to the demigods, who are innumerable assistants in different parts of the body of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Their pleasures and displeasures are dependent on the performance of yajas by the human being. Some of the yajas are meant to satisfy particular demigods who will set right our problems in current life and offer prosperity and health.
Vedic Folks will offer suggestions on performance of such Homas, as we refer to yajnas, for the well being and prosperity of those who seek.
In the due course, we will also learn how the offerings in the various Homas are consumed by whom and for whom. We will also explore how such performance of Homas and Pujas will cleanse our very existence and provide what kind of benediction besides those desired by us on short term basis.
