. All the houses have some desktops that are just too old to use but hold some important files. Similarly we have personal laptops, netbooks and printers too. Home network windows 7 will help you setup all this up into one integrated network.

So let us say you have a desktop with all your files and pictures. But you prefer to use your netbook because it is portable and light. Now you want to access some document stored on your desktop computer. With home network, this is possible just sitting on your couch with your netbook.

After this now you want to take a print out of this document. Even if the printer is connected to the desktop, you can access it from your laptop and send a print command to it. Now that was about viewing and printing documents, what about videos, can you watch them similarly? Why not, video file is also a file that can be shared on home network.

So how are these home networks created? It does sound very technical but with Windows 7 it is really very simple. Just go to the Control Panel and search for homegroup. From the search results, select homegroup and click on the create a homegroup button. The next screen gives you the option of the kind of files you want to share. Pick these and click next. You are done with homegroup creation.

At the end of the creation process you get a password. Make a not of this so that other computers can be added to this homegroup. Joining the home group is very similar to creating one. The only difference obviously is that you will click join a homegroup in place of create.

Once you have all the computers and laptops running Windows 7 added to the homegroup you can start sharing libraries and printers. If your home group is connected via a wireless router, then you can also be mobile access the homegroup from anywhere.

In summary, home networking is a great way to connect various devices in your house and share their contents. With Windows 7 homegroups it is very simple to setup a home network and add computers to it.
