Among which is the tracing of the historical roots of the Hong Kong Jockey Club and the preservation of the history of horseracing in Hong Kong. The museum has been built with four galleries. The first is called Origin of Our Horses which depicts the migratory patters of the horses journeying from Northern China to Hong Kong. The second gallery is Shaping Sha Tin showing how the Sha Tin Racecourse was built. Understanding Horses is another gallery where skeletons of Hong Kongs famous horses are on display and the final gallery is dedicated to thematic exhibitions. Theres also a souvenir shop and cinema for those interested in taking home a memento for their loved ones or entertaining themselves with a movie.
