How Can Technology Help You

The last few decades have seen such a rapid advancement in technology; more so than at any other time in history

. Everywhere you look there are electronic devices and pieces of equipment designed to make our lives a little easier.

The thirst for inventors to come up with new ways of doing things and solving more problems is insatiable as a break through can bring great fortune. Just look at Apple, the worlds most profitable company continuously stay ahead of the curve designing new devices that we didnt know we even needed but once used and owned we didnt know how we lived without them.

There are obvious examples like Apple, but what about the devices whose job it is to help people live their daily lives and without technology their quality of life would be severely hampered. Think about people with pacemakers fitted to help their heartbeat stay regular and people who cannot hear without a hearing aid. One of the worlds most respected scientists, Stephen Hawking is able to bring to the world his amazing insight into the universe only because of the technology that enables him to speak to us and get around.

Other examples include simple technology that is more subtle such as electric can openers as some people would struggle to use a manual one. There are a multitude of items that you can find in the kitchen that make the job of food preparation so much easier such as blenders and food mixers. The list goes on. It would be an impossible thought to imagine a world without technology but it wasnt always that way.

It wasnt until the last 100 years or so that the use of technology has been possible and the pace at which it advances has accelerated through this period of time. It was the inventors of the printed circuit board we can thank for this meteoric rise in technology and without them we would certainly not have all the devices that exist today.

So, its hats off to those inventors who saw a new way to do things, who pushed the boundarys of what most people thought was possible and who continue to this day to invent, reinvent and evolve our world.
