The first question that a husband usually ask himself when he found out his wife

had cheated on him is that "How could she do this to me?" This is quite normal and understandable for a husband to think and feel this way. Her action had caused you pain, of all the people, she, your wife will hurt you so badly like this? You just can't imagine.

The thing about loving someone is that you give them a certain amount of power over you. A betrayal, like cheating, violates the trust you've given that person. Your wife not only hurt you when she cheated but she broke the vows you shared together. For many men, who place loyalty, honesty, and faithfulness above almost everything else, cheating is a double duty cause of pain.

But, knowing the depth of the betrayal you've decided that you want to work things out and save your marriage. Good for you. It wasn't an easy decision to make but it can be an incredibly rewarding choice. So, how do you forgive her for cheating so you can move on to more productive things to repair your marriage and correct the damage that has been done?

These are a few steps to forgiveness that might be beneficial for both of you to work on together. There are things you both need to forgive the other for and this is a great place to begin.

1)Write down the act you wish to forgive on a sheet of paper. There may be more than one but you need to write only one on a single sheet of paper.

2.Put your mind on the act that you've written on the paper. Then think about your wife's smile and face. Think of the great things about her, all about her kindness, goodness and other virtues you see in her. Think about the love you feel for her.

3.Rip the sheet of paper with the act that you want to forgive her in half, quarters and then into eighths. While doing this, picture the act becoming smaller and smaller as you rip the sheet of paper. As the paper becomes smaller, the act becomes smaller as well and becomes easier to forgive, especially when you think of her kindness and goodness and your love for her.

Although it may take a long time to forgive her totally for cheating on you, but always remember that every step you take in the right direction will be a step closer to healthy, happy and full of love union you want to share and enjoy with your wife.
