How Do You Know If Your Ex Really Wants To Get Back Together?
There are several telltale signs that your ex may still be interested in you
. She may call you and hint towards going out, or maybe even become very flirtatious on the phone. Basically, she'll start showing more interest in you all of a sudden.
If this happens, it's certainly alright to get your hopes up, but you mustn't jump the gun. The signs mentioned above are good indicators that she may want to get back with you, but you've really got to be careful not to get hurt. You've got to find out if her motives are pure.
The best strategy to adopt in this situation is to play hard to get (in moderation, of course). Your ex will respond to this behavior the best. If you just go ahead and dive back into the relationship head first, you might find your ex backing away again, and you may get hurt.
As a matter of fact, if your ex begins to pursue you, there's a good chance that it's because you were playing hard to get all along. This is often the case when one of the affected parties begins to show interest in the other.
When you break up, it's natural to experience feelings of longing for the other person. This is even more true if your relationship was longer than a year. Even if the breakup was ugly, your ex is going to miss you no matter what because of all of the memories and experiences you both shared.
You have to realize that there are other emotions that play a part in this as well. For instance, your ex may be experiencing feelings of regret or guilt for hurting you. This is where you need to be careful, because their intentions to get back together with you are based wholly on self serving reasons.
Unfortunately, sometimes when an ex shoes a renewed interest, it is just a mind game. They may be trying to get back at you for hurting them, or they may simply be trying to get attention. In either case, they may never intend to get back together with you at all. Even worse, they may just be passing the time because they don't have any other prospects knocking down their door. This is why you really have to be careful and try to analyze the situation before you rush back into a relationship.
So what should you do? Well, for now, the best course of action is to keep your distance and play hard to get. This will prevent you from getting hurt again while allowing you to get a good handle on the situation. You'll then have to decide if your ex is really serious about renewing your relationship for real.
