The drug is available in two strengths of 1mg/0.5mg and 0.5mg/0.1mg of representing the amount of estradiol and norethindrone acetate respectively. The prescription of this medicine will depend on the type and the severity of symptoms experienced by the individual patient. The generally recommended dosage of this medicine is one tablet daily. Activella generally suits all women but may still result in some common side effects. Vaginal bleeding, breast pain, headaches, upper respiratory tract infections and accidental injuries are some of the commonly experienced side effects of using this medicine. Like in the case of all other prescription medicines, you should not take Activella without consulting your doctor. Furthermore, prior to using this medicine, you must inform your doctor about your medical history, any specific problems faced by you and the medicines being already taken by you.
