How Exercise Adds Years to Someone's Life

The reason is excercise is so beneficial to health is very numerous. Before I start I would like to discuss the topic evolution. What is fascinating is that thousands and millions of years of evolution created the human body. In today's age food is plentiful, there is not to many predators we have to fear except physco people who want to kill many other people. Besides that horrible fact times are very good.let's be honest life is fairly well for many people.

That was not the case say even 50 years ago. Through time are great grandparents and ancestors had a lot more problems than many of us today, I hope do not have to deal with. To give you a few examples how about freezing to death, famine and getting eaten by a wild animal. Are ancestors had it much harder than many of us do.

Remember many of our ancestors didn't have access to refrigerators or microwaves, they had to get food every single day. Every day they had to walk for a longer time than many of us do for their food, shelter and water. They have to sprint very hard at times to catch prey and have had to use many muscles to survive.

This is what the human body is used to. There is either growth or decay concerning your body. In fact many cells right now or getting thrown out to be replaced by other cells. So I'm sure we all want more growth then decay right (say yes).

Think about this when you exercise you use muscles which consume calories (energy) that then sends a signal to the rest of your body that says, "hey we used a bunch of energy and we need some more over here." Because our bodies are survival machines we get more energy than we had last time. Think about when you lift weights you get stronger.

I'll admit I'm not the smartest person on the planet but to me that's a sign of growth.

So to sum everything up doing nothing equals decay while moderate exercise leads to growth. We actually should somewhat trick our body because obviously it is very difficult to live like we did in pre-historic times. Instead of holding a spear and sprinting to stab prey, we could jump on a treadmill machine. Instead of building a tiny shelter to survive we could lift weights, you get the idea.

I usually exercise 6-7 days a week for around 30-45 minutes a day. Mixing in walking, with some sprinting and some weight training. Everyone is different so check with your doctor, go at your own pace and even doing half of what I do is better than nothing.
