For the French theme you will want to mostly go with a light color on your walls such as cream or peach. If you prefer to not paint your walls then you might be interested in French wallpaper that would make your room look just as elegant.

Now as for the bed design, you might want to go with the rococo style. You will want your bed to look nice and big like they do in France so you will have a thick mattress and large pillows. The frame and headboard of the bed would be made of wood with elegant French style carvings in the wood. The more pillows you have; the more elegant your French bedroom will look. Add pillows that have golden thread designs in them, and they will also need to match whatever colors you have in your room. Choose luxurious looking sheets for your French style bedroom. Ideal sheets would be white; perhaps Egyptian cotton with beautiful lace on the seams.

When designing your room with French furniture think oversized. French furniture is big and elegant; even their small sized furniture is considered to be like average sized furniture. You can add some nice wide French nightstands that are made out of wood with unique carvings in them. Try to find the most antique look possible when you are searching for French bedroom furniture. Though you may not find the real antique furniture because of how rare it is, you will certainly be able to find furniture that resembles it.

Don't forget about those luxurious French curtains. The do not have to be exactly French, but they need to have the look. Hang some sheer white or gold curtains to your windows. Keep them open with golden twisted tiebacks so that the sunlight will light up your bedroom naturally. The ideal curtains to use would be the kind that extends from the ceiling down to your bedroom floor
