Just a few years ago many motorists wouldnt touch a Kia with a bargepole
. The common opinion was that their vehicles were cheap, unreliable and, well naff.
They were not seen as stylish, fun, quirky or even good value for money many considered them to be worse than a Skoda was back in the day.
However, as I write this article today I firmly believe that Kias reputation has moved on immensely and this is in part due to the new stylish models the Korean manufacture has bought out over the last year or so.
Take the new Kia Ceed for example it looks far more robust and stylish than any other Kia thats passed through the production line over the past few years. When I first saw one on the motorway I had to double take to check that it was actually a Kia.
Its not just an improvement in the vehicles thats changed either there has been a lot of effort put into the brands image too.
In 2002 Kia were involved in the FIFA World Cup in Japan and Korea they are now an official partner of FIFA until 2014 and are the official sponsors of the upcoming 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
Being a sponsor at this years World Cup means that the Kia logo will be seen by millions upon millions of football fans throughout the tournament. This is a fantastic opportunity to show the World their new, stylish model line-up so look out for a brand new Kia Ceed on a street near you because I think their popularity will soar!
