The first kind of contact lenses we want to introduce is daily contact lens. For daily contact lens, we can wear them for a day, and then remove and just throw them away, so there is no need to keep them in the case or clean and maintain them. If there is a case that you take them out for part of the day, then you can throw them away instead of keeping them for next day use, as it is daily contact lenses.

Besides daily contact lenses, there is some contact lenses like weekly, two-week, monthly contact lenses, which means we can wear them for a week, two weeks or a month, after that, throw them away. And for this kind of contact lens, we are required to remove it before going to bed, and keep them in the case during night. When we dont like to wear it, we can keep them in the case.

Extended contact lens is also popular and widely used nowadays. Compared with the second contact lenses we introduce, extended contact lens can enable people to wear them a week without taking it out, after a month, just throw it away. So there is also no need to keep them in their case for regular cases, but there maybe the case that for some reason, you want to remove it and keep it in the case during the wearing period

Therefore, for the second and third kind of contact lenses, if we take them out for some point, how long can we keep them in their case? Of course, if you feel the lens is infected, it is wise to throw them away. But for example, if we just wear a pair of weekly contact lenses for a day, for some reason, we have to take it out and how long can we keep it in the case. As a matter of fact, the contact lenses can be kept in their case for six month to a year. But if you have worn them more than half of the required days, it will be a good idea to throw them away and change new pair when we need.
