How To Adjust The Brightness Of Laptop Lcd Screen

As to adjust the LCD BrightnessWhen boot up, the LCD brightness of your laptop is

at its brightest (Level eight) by default if youve connected the notebook to the AC power adapter. It becomes dimmer automatically if your laptop is running on battery power to conserve energy. For notebooks with an ambient light sensor, the ambient light sensor detects external, ambient illumination and automatically controls the LCD brightness. However, the ambient light sensor only works when the laptop is operating on battery power. For this 15.6-inch LP156WH1 LCD Screen, I dont know whether it has light sensor or not. But through the following steps, I can adjust and maintain this LCD screen.

To adjust the LCD brightness, you must use the Power options instead. First, press the Function key and the up arrow to increase the brightness level. LCD brightness has 8 levels. Each time you press the up arrow, the brightness increases by 1 level. Press the Function key and the bottom arrow to decrease the brightness level. The on screen LCD indicator appears briefly on your LCD screen, showing the current brightness level.

For maintaining the LCD brightness, you can turn the notebook laptop on, and then press the F2 key when the logo appears on the screen to enter the BIOS setup. The BIOS setup screen appears. Use the right and left arrows on your keyboard to select the BOOT menu. Use the down arrow to highlight Brightness Mode Control, and then press Enter. Two options appear:

* Auto: The Brightness values are set by the status of the AC adapter at each boot up.

* User Control: The Brightness values you set remain regardless of the status of the AC adapter.LP156WH1 LCD Screen

Regardless of which option you choose, you can still increase or decrease the brightness by pressing the function key and the up or down arrow key. Use your up and bottom arrows to highlight User Control, and then press Enter. Press the F10 key to save the settings and exit the Boot menu. A Setup Confirmation screen appears. Use your right and left arrows to select Yes, and then press enter. Your notebook restarts.

Now this LP156WH1 LCD Screen looks comfortable for me according to these steps.
