So you want to become a successful mixed-martial artist, or maybe even a champion. There are many things that people wanting to do this forget to take the time to do. Here are 3 tips that you will want to consider early to get a head start on your successful MMA career.

Compete.

You need to start thinking about competing from the get go. We are not telling you to go jump into a fight 3 weeks into training. That would not be smart.

Begin by working with the most successful fighters at your club and find out when grappling, kickboxing, and Jiu-Jitsu competitions are taking place. Go and practice competing there. Although, just because you are successful at a grappling contest does not mean you will win in MMA, but it does put you in the right head set of competing.

Find An Event You Want To Fight On.

There are local events popping up everywhere. Usually many clubs compete against each other and many people will often come from out of town.

If you want to have a nice looking professional record, you need to start on the smaller showcase, and work your way up to the big time.

Now You Need To Win.

Early on in your MMA career you need to win a good chunk of your first fights to get on any bigger stage.

This means you better start training yourself like a champion would, to get a solid number of wins in a row.
