How To Build A Unique Photography Portfolio

If you are a photographer, then there is no greater joy than being recognized for what you love to do

. If you are a photographer, then it is very important for you to get recognized for what you do. You need to create an attractive portfolio which impressed someone within a second. Here are some of the important points which you need to remember before making your portfolio,

1. Choose your theme- before planning theme you need to think about the theme or category in which you want to work. Try to make your portfolio like a written book, which should have some unifying theme. You can use either conceptual or technical. For example, you can choose theme related to the love, life, courage, wild life, baby photography, family photography and much more. You can also make a showcase of your existing portfolio that shows all your best work. It must be sure that the themes for creating a particular portfolio are only limited by your own imagination. So, always take your time to create your theme-based portfolio.

2. Select Best Photos - you need to choose right photographs to put in your portfolio that will be definitely a time-consuming process for you. Choose the best pieces that should be placed within the portfolio. If you really want to get desired results, then you need to spend some more quality time in photography. Your portfolio should be well manageable for the viewers. Some audience has short attention spans. If your photography portfolio is shorter than audience will be more likely to slow down and spend time to look at each photograph. Showcasing your portfolio is quite easy, but it is very difficult to keep the attention of all the audience the whole time. Try to narrow your portfolio down to 20-50 photographs. This is hard, but you need to do.

3. Show your work - Now, keep all the photographs in a public space in your house. Show them to your friends and family. Make a digital copy online and show it around to the different galleries and exhibits.

If you want to sell your photographs, then sell some of the photographs in your set. Take your full-time to put them together, but make sure that you need to complete your project on time. Don't let your photographs sit around in boxes, just take out the best one and show them off.
