How To Care For Remy Hair Wigs
Remy hair wigs have become such an amazingly popular product to buy over the last few years
. They are worn by just about everyone, including movie stars, singers and famous people such as Tyra Banks and Beyonce. These Remy hair wigs have a really natural and beautiful look and feel to them which is one of the reasons they are so popular. Unlike synthetic wigs, these are made from real human hair. Not only real human hair, but human hair that is lustrous, and taken care of before it is cut off the donor and afterward.
One of the reasons that Remy hair does look and feel so real is because the cuticle of the hair is kept intact throughout the entire process. When a cuticle is run the same way it results in beautiful hair that does not get tangled or matted. Perfection! The best quality Remy hair wigs starts at about $150 and go on up to $600. In order to take better care of your wig, I have prepared a few guidelines that you should consider following!
1- Unlike synthetic wigs, you absolutely have to wash these wigs on a daily basis. Use shampoo and conditioner. Remember, even though this is someone else's hair, you can treat it like it's your own hair, unlike Synthetic wigs. Also, make sure you comb out any tangles that may happen with a wide-tooth comb.
2- In a spray bottle, you can create a mixture that is 50% water and 50% conditioner. Shake the bottle to make sure everything gets mixed together and spray it on the hair - preferably wet. Then, brush it through softly.
3- Brush your hair from the bottom to the top, catching any tangles that you did get through the hair.
4- Place the wig in a basic filled with semi warm water and add a moisturizing shampoo and let it soak for at least 10 minutes.
5- Lather the wig with the shampoo, but do not rub or jerk at the hair. Gently squeeze the soapy water through the hair from the top to the hair ends. Thoroughly rinse the wig in cool water before applying conditioner.
6- Saturate the wig with hair conditioner. Use oil-free shampoo and conditioner. Let the conditioner sit on hair for at least five minutes.
7- Wash Off wig in cold water in the basin to thoroughly get rid of any conditioner from the wig. Gently squeeze the water out of the hair before drying the wig. Towel dry the hair or let it air dry on a wig holder.
8- Put On a quality leave-in conditioner to moisturize the wig and foreclose the hair from getting too dry. Use Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion. It is non-greasy, adds sheen and moisturizes the hair.
Now you might be wondering why the wig is different than if you got a Remy hair weave, hair extensions, extensions clip or even a clip hair product. The answer is simple. While you should be able to use ANY Remy hair like it is your hair, the wig is much more work, as you can see here. The wig still looks incredibly real, after all it is real, but it will take more time to clean it and you will actually be taking it off. Now, with real Remy hair extensions or weaves, you obviously will not be taking this off, so you can be a little rougher with it.
